CAMP COMMON GROUND

A free weekend camp for families navigating both cancer and a disability — where every activity is built for every ability.

Camp Common Ground is a special weekend camp experience in partnership with Camp CAMP. It serves families who have a family member facing both cancer and a disability — whether the disability came before the cancer diagnosis or was caused by it. There’s no age limit, and everyone in the immediate household is invited.

Fun for the entire family, accessible to every member of it.

All facilities and activities at Camp CAMP are fully wheelchair accessible. For those who like a thrill: horseback riding, archery, and canoeing. For those who like to chill: arts and crafts, nature, and swimming. Add in s’mores, an all-camp dance, and more — there’s something for everyone.

At the end of each day, every family retreats to their own private cabin — a quiet, relaxing space for whatever your family’s care needs look like.

Our families tell us the best part of the weekend is meeting others walking the same road.

Facing both a disability and cancer in the same family can feel isolating. Camp Common Ground helps families see they are not alone on the journey. Each family is paired with a volunteer buddy for the weekend who can take the kiddos to activities — giving parents and caregivers real rest. It’s a fun, laid-back weekend full of adventure for the whole family.
